To aid in the diagnosis of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, and colon.

Gastroscope:

This is a fiberoptic scope which is inserted through the mouth into the esophagus and into the stomach and duodenum which is the first part of the small intestine to look for ulcers and tumors and in case of bleeding to detect the reason for the bleeding.

Sigmoidoscope :

This is a fiberoptic scope to check the rectum and the colon in cases of bleeding and also as a preventive service to detect any early colon cancer. It is recommended to have this test performed after age 50, every four years, to detect any early signs of colon cancer.

Colonoscope:

This is a fiberoptic scope which is used to detect colon cancer and also in cases of bleeding from the colon and to detect polyps and tumors in the colon
